Nairobi National Park
Approximately 8 kilometres from the city centre, we enter the Nairobi National Park to view a variety of game including lions, cheetahs, buffalo, impala, giraffes and ostriches, roaming in untouched savannah and indigenous forest. The 117 sq km park is unique by being the only protected area in the world with a variety of animals and birds close to a major city. It has a diversity of environments with characteristic fauna and flora. Open grass plains with scattered acacia bushes predominate. The western side has a highland dry forest and a permanent river with a riverine forest. In addition, there are stretches of broken bush country and deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass. You will also visit the animal orphanage outside the park
